Meet the Pookaville Residents January 26, 2009
Welcome to Pookaville! The author is Diana, the Pooka.
She likes to blog and has missed out on it for a year. She is shown here with Peter, her secondborn. Diana enjoys photography, writing, making jewelry, reading, and socializing. Her desire to blog is brought to you by many hours spent cleaning the kitchen, wiping soiled bottoms, dialoging with little people, and the need to get away from it all by writing about it all and putting things in perspective. Also hopes to touch on deeper subjects. Diana has recently been exploring more edgy mom stuff like attachment parenting, babywearing, cloth diapering, and other things she hopes will make life better for her families and others.
The He-Pooka.
Kyle is shown here with Todd. When he’s not laboriously slaving away at Lord of the Rings online card game activities, Kyle is a teacher at a private high school. He teaches Spanish and math. He loves to relax at home with his family, computer program, go camping, and eat mint chocolate chip cookies. His mad skills include solving a Rubix cube in less than two minutes, reaching the ceiling without stretching, and carrying all three children at once around the living room while singing, “The Ants Go Marching”. Kyle is a fabulous father and the real reason behind his wife’s continued sanity.
Todd, the firstborn. Also answers to Toddaloonie, Toddles, and “Wanna watch a movie?” Enjoys lego building, matchbox cars, singing, Skippyjon Jones, and anything animated. Todd is three. Oh, three. Pottytraining, the neverending why, learning letters and numbers, and teaching his mother the true meaning of patience.
Peter is the second child, the middle child, and is terrific at making his needs known in the midst of the chaos known as siblinghood. Known for his cuddly hugs and winsome smile, Peter enjoys pushing wheeled objects around and whacking things against each other to make noise. He will be two in February, and acts his age. Recently Peter has launched into ‘learn to speak’ mode and has many cute Peterisms already. Peter and Todd enjoy egging each other on in the quest to make sure the house is never clean for longer than fifteen minutes. Give Peter chocolate and he will be your friend for life.
Vivienne is the third child and the happiest baby you have ever met. She is social, smiley, and talkative. The only thing that gets her down is teething which she has launched into with three teeth in the last month. Besides that, she delights in meeting new people and loves to be held and tickled. At seven months old her goals include learning to crawl and putting everything she can grasp into her mouth. Vivienne senses her princessness and basks in the attention of her older brothers, who gladly bring her matchbox cars to teeth on. She loves her nice cloth diaper stash and will show it off to anyone who asks.
That is an adorable introduction! Cool baby pics too!Love Mom
